Being my sweet old self I have made 'cards' for each of the Zodiac signs which you can watch on the following pages. As you will see in most cases the signs do not fit the 'common' attributes associated to them by today's astrology too well, some even appear almost contrary. While it is still possible to see them within a 'normal 12-section-Zodiac' there still might be clashes with standard astrology. I can live with that.. ;)

Nevertheless, it was amazing to watch how some attributes survived the ages, even when just remaining in the images and not getting much attention otherwise.

To view the signs, you can either use the glyphs at the left side or the links in the table below. Each sign page has a link to the next one and to the one before, so you can walk from one to one and explore the circle in the skies.

The table below gives you a short overview along with the dates of the single signs.

Pisces

(Mar 13 - Apr 18 ; 352° - 28°)
Atargatis and Hatmehit, goddesses of water and fishes, filling the waters with fertility and nourishment

Aries

(Apr 19 - May 13 ; 29° - 52°)
Chnum - 'He Who Protects and Enriches' - who created the lands out of the seas, builder of men and gods, brought power to earth

Taurus

(May 14 - Jun 21 ; 53° - 90°)
Apis and Hathor - the power of earth personified, but also its beauty, growth and fertility, provider of home and nourishment

Gemini

(Jun 22 - Jul 20 ; 91° - 117°)
Ka - the principle of duality, of soul and matter, the individuum's arrangement and understanding of its self.

Cancer

(Jul 21 - Aug 10 ; 118° - 137°)
Khepera - 'He Who Comes Into Being' - symbol of rebirth, renewal and resurrection, the wakening of spirituality.

Leo

(Aug 11 - Sep 16 ; 138° - 173°)
Sekhmet - goddess of war and destruction - the detection of pride and glory, as well as the will to fight and destroy.

Virgo

(Sep 17 - Oct 30 ; 174° - 218°)
Isis - 'The Throne' - goddess of culture and magic, mankind discovering a higher level of being

Libra

(Nov 1 - Nov 22 ; 219° - 240°)
Anubis - god of death and judgement; the experience of consciousness and responsibilty for one's life

Scorpio

(Nov 23 - Nov 29 ; 241° - 247°)
Serket - 'She Who Breathes' - the scorpion goddess of magic, mankind learns about poisons and the dangers of the hidden

Ophiuchus

(Nov 30 - Dec 18 ; 248° - 266°)
Atum - 'He who completes' - and Imhotep - 'He Who Comes in Peace' - gods of medicine and healing, teaching mankind to deal with the poisons to turn them into cures

Sagittarius

(Dec 19 - Jan 19 ; 267° - 299°)
Nergal - barbarian god of war, destruction just for the joy of aggressivity, also hunting and protection of borders.

Capricorn

(Jan 20 - Feb 16 ; 300 ° - 327°)
Ea as the god of water and wisdom and Thoth as the god of science and writing, teaching mankind to understand and to learn, using the intellect rather than brutal powers, and Ea as the god of water closes the circle.

Aquarius

(Feb 17 - Mar 12 ; 328° - 351°)
Hapi as the god of the Nile, bringing fertility to the land, pouring out the rains to make the earth blossom
