The Raven's Tree - Tarot Spread - Raven's Tarot Site

The Raven's Tree is a convenient spread to look into the root of a matter. The positions are almost self explaining - the upper part of the tree symbolizes the obvious, that what you can see. The lower part stands for the hidden, the sources and root causes, while the middle card is the connection between both.

1 = The crown of the tree
2 = The roots of the crown
3 = The fruits
4 = The roots for the fruits (good of roots)
5 = The falling leaves
6 = The root for the falling leaves (Bad of roots/reason for falling)
7 = The trunk

When using the '2-birds-system', the position of the seven cards are like in the model aside.
None of the birds must be on any of the marked positions, so it may take a while until you have your mix done.

Of course, when you choose the sort-out system, you just shuffle until there are seven cards left - no matter on what position..

As you see, the cards in the Shuffle Window have their numbers on their backs, so it is easy to choose the right ones from the dropdown lists. Just take care you have them in the right order.
